Stop Dreading & Do It

REEDIT-2.jpg

Have you ever had that one task on your to-do list that you have continually pushed off for weeks, possibly even months? (That one thing you sort-of want to do but it doesn’t necessarily need to be done, so why not do the more important tasks at hand?) That’s what I used to tell myself anyways. That was until I actually did it, and it was so rewarding!

I’ve been working on re-branding my company and the most important thing is consistency. (Stay with me non-photographers… this may bore you for a minute but I promise you’ll want to stay until the end). The bright & vibrant portraits I used to take totally doesn’t match who I am now, and who I want to be as an artist. The darker, emotional, moody, warm portraits are what I LOVE!

But because I just now figured this out, I don’t have many sessions to portray that (even though I’ve done well over 100 sessions). So I decided I needed to review some of my favorite sessions and re-edit to my current “style” so that I can have more material to post.

I decided that back in early April. Yes, you read that right… TWO MONTHS ago I added this to my to-do list.

Even though, that one thing on your to-do list maybe isn’t “re-edit” sessions, it’s still something you have been dreading because of how time consuming it is.

Let me tell you, I was DREADING this, to the point every time it was the next thing to check off I would roll my eyes, throw out a huge sigh, and black. it. out. with ink… like to the point there was an oddly huge black rectangle on my page.
