Maelee & Corey held their wedding at Live Oak Weddings and Special Events Venue with all of their loved ones and closest friends around. They have two beautiful daughters who were amazing flower girls. Maelee definitely isn’t like most brides, stressing about her wedding day. She was so relaxed, calm and excited all day long and even the days leading up to their wedding, just ready to marry her man. Scroll below as you watch their wedding day and all the meaningful moments.

This was such a meaningful detail shot for me. I could tell Maelee didn’t have any grand ideas for details shots but I still felt like I needed to do them and I’m so happy I did. It turns out Maelee had no idea what her wedding band looked like and she bought Corey’s, so he also had no clue what his looked like. Corey also bought Maelee’s “something blue” which is the bracelet. I was able to photograph all three before they even saw it themselves.

All of the kiddos were playing in the field as everyone prepared for the wedding. You probably won’t believe me, but the kids did this– walking and holding hands, totally balances with height too– all by themselves. These are the moments I live to document and why it’s so important to have a photographers there while the day is going slow.

The final mirror check.

At the moment this photo above was taken, Maelee thought I was doing some cliche photo with her against the wall. She had no idea her groom stood behind her.

Maelee and Corey decided not to see each other before the ceremony or exchange letters. That was until the Friday before, her maid of honor, Emily, called me. Corey called Emily asking if Maelee had a “something blue” because he was at a jewelry store and saw a beautiful bracelet with a blue diamond he wanted to get her. He and Emily wanted to coordinate a time for him to give the bracelet to Maelee before the ceremony without her knowing. Watch below for her reaction when his hand reaches around the corner. After, all she wanted to do was just hold his hand for a minute.

Maelee decided to walk in from behind the altar rather than through the aisle. This was a first for me, but I loved it!! Corey still hasn’t seen his bride yet, and is standing beside her father and her without peaking an eye, until…..

Photographers are known for “rushing” the couple after the ceremony to go take pictures. I like to give my couples a few minutes because of this. Sharing tears with one of her guests.. pure beauty.
