Kristen and Hayden had an authentic and tasteful wedding!
This CMC couples big day was held at the Majestic Oaks Wedding Venue. They had the cutest wedding party addition featured below and their day was modern with a touch of glamour and gold.

I actually met Kristen and Hayden through another CMC Couple! Kristen is the best friend of Rachel, and she helped coordinate Tom’s proposal. That was the first time I actually met Kristen. I knew instantly the type of person she was- caring, loyal (she drove from Troy just to watch Rachel’s engagement and plan the afterparty), so freaking nice, and all around an incredible person. It was at their wedding that I met Hayden and shortly after they booked me! I love meeting couples through couples. It’s so meaningful to show up on the wedding day, see a lot of familiar faces, and watch each bride have their turn.

Cookie bars are an Italian/New Jersey wedding tradition! I actually have had about three weddings do this in the past year, but this was the first doing it out of tradition that I knew of. Its a sweet way to thank and gift your guests, who doesn’t love fresh baked goodies!

We loved this CMC bride’s getting ready outfit!

Hayden’s reaction to seeing his bride was so special. Kristen really is a beautiful person (obviously) but she also has a heart of gold. Being a part of documenting their love story was enjoyable.

Photographer Tip: For those doing a first look, have a conversation with your significant others beforehand on people watching your first look. Everyone wants to watch but maybe you or your spouse want it to be private and that’s OKAY. Let our team know before and we will coordinate it and make sure it’s a private moment.
This is especially true for those that chose a first look FOR that intimate moment, having viewers can take away or add pressure/nerves.

They brought their pup to their engagement session, so it was only fair to include him in the wedding!

These two were beaming with joy the entire day—their joy was contagious!

They ended their night with a “last dance”! This is a moment I am such a fan of, so we are turning it into this week’s tip:

PHOTOGRAPHER TIP:

Do a “last dance” at your reception. This can either be in front of your guests (so precious, everyone cries and really takes in the entire day while they dance) or make it private while the guests get ready for your grand exit. Either way it is a beautiful memory and one more moment to take in before rushing away to your honeymoon!
