The Sikes at Magnolia Bay

Even though it felt like an eternity away when they booked, and then three more eternities because of COVID rescheduling it.. Lauren and Kody are finally married!

Their original wedding date was scheduled in April, until Alabama banned crowds and the wedding had to be postponed. I posted their engagement gallery and Lauren’s story in a blog on the date I should’ve been sharing their wedding.

Their wedding was rescheduled for August 29, 2020, when I would be on my own honeymoon. Instantly, I knew I had the perfect support system and ladies willing to help me out. Mary with Mary Katherine Photography and Kristen, with Kristen Stone Photography associate shot this wedding for me.

When I woke up the morning of their wedding, I had such an overwhelming peace come over me. I knew Josh and I could enjoy our day and Mary and Kristen would have it all under control. I only checked in to see if they made it safely, and after that I didn't want to bother them so they could focus on the wedding. I didn’t feel aneed to check in though, and that says so much!

Going through their photos was so much phone. My cheeks no lie hurt by time I got done. I’m always smiling while editing because these moments are so incredible to capture. This smile was so different though because it was my first time seeing them. I felt like I was their in the moment just by going through the gallery. That’s every photographer’s goals, and I know I do that with all my weddings but this one was different.

Kristen and Mary, I know you are reading this. I will never be able to thank you enough!
